Hello, we are Andrea Gimenez and Carolina Gaviria, friends of the Gonzalez Delgado family. Today we turn to this medium seeking support for Lileanys, Gustavo and their little warrior Giulia. The purpose of this campaign is to alleviate a little the difficult situation they are going through and alleviate the economic burdens so that together they can dedicate and focus 100% of their time to the care and recovery of Giulia. For them, without a doubt, the most important thing is the prayers for their daughter every day. However, our desire is to help them by raising funds to support expenses related to the surgery and to be able to give Gustavo and Lileanys financial peace of mind, due to the magnitude of the surgery, Giulia will need months of recovery, therapy and rehabilitation.

For those who do not know Giulia, here is her story.

Giulia was born in December 2020. During her birth Giulia suffered a cerebral infarction also known as (stroke) causing a diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy, Lennox Gastaut Syndrome (severe epileptic disorder in most cases untreatable) and Autism. All of these conditions have caused delays in language and communication and delays in their motor and social development. Due to Lennox Gastaut Syndrome, Giulia had seizures several times a day, which were life-threatening. Giulia was treated with the strongest anticonvulsants and the highest doses for several months, but unfortunately no improvement was achieved, forcing her parents, and recommended by the doctors, to make the difficult decision of performing an Anatomical Hemispherectomy on the left hemisphere of her brain. This surgery consists of removing all the damaged tissue that is causing the intractable seizures and completely disconnecting the rest of that hemisphere, so that from now on she will be able to live with only the right hemisphere of her brain.

Giulia underwent said surgery for more than 7 hours on August 16, 2022 in Tampa, Florida. Today Giulia is stable in the intensive care unit where with God's favor she will recover and prepare to continue fighting and winning her battle. At this moment, Giulia is in the most important phase of this entire process, since it is when more risks and complications can arise.

For this reason, any contribution, no matter how small, will be a blessing for this family. In advance we give infinite thanks on behalf of the Gonzalez Delgado family to those who took the time to pray and take any interest in Giulia's story. Let's keep asking God for her speedy recovery and return home
