Little Ernie "Buddy" Funeral Expenses

Lil Ernie
Another Angel has gone home… Our loved one, who we affectionately called Lil Ernie and Buddy was called home on Monday, April 24, 2023. Our hearts are empty and we are left devastated by his loss - a loss that will forever remain impossible to fill.
Buddy battled most of his life. He was born premature at only six months. However, that didn’t matter. He grew as a healthy young boy up until the young age of three years old. It was at that age that Buddy contracted Adknown Virus which resulted in an intense and severe case of cerebral palsy. Just as he was learning to talk more, discovering the world, playing and growing, out of nowhere, it was as if his life was forever stunted. He could no longer talk, eat, walk or run on his own; but he was a fighter! From the start and through it all, he defied all odds stacked against him! When diagnosed with cerebral palsy, the doctor told us that if he was taken home to be cared for that he would not live past a year because of the severity of his condition.
He was a living, breathing miracle! Our grandma affectionately referred to him as, “Milagro,” which means “Miracle” in Spanish and he really and truly was! In fact, he lived to be 44 years old! Yet still, we all feel we lost him too soon. I know he survived from the love that his parents, siblings, grandparents and many, many cousins had for him. He remains special and so deeply significant to all our lives. Now he’s just gone. We are left feeling stunned and so vulnerable about what the next step is for our family. We question how we can go on without him. We are left with the pain to learn how to go on without him. Although he may not be here physically, he will forever be held in the highest esteem in all of our hearts ❤️ We are marveled by his strength, his fight and the love and courage he taught us all without ever having to utter a word!!
We must not say goodbye, but “See you later Buddy/Lil Ernie” He’s no longer in pain. He’s no longer suffering and for only this we can be grateful! However, the human in us can’t help but to miss him as we continue in pain. Please help our family bring closure and honor our Milagro with a proper burial and celebration of his life. The family is humbly and respectfully asking for forgiveness as we must ask for donations to lay him in his final resting place. We thank you in advance for giving whatever you feel in your heart to help us out with in this extremely difficult time of grief and need! ✝️
