Little Eddie's Story

I am Domino Scott Jackson and I am sharing this information on behalf of Pasadena Police Officer Eddie Carlos and his family.

Little Eddie", Pasadena Police Officer Eddie Carlos' son, who is 17 years old, is a leukemia survivor and underwent a bone marrow transplant when he was 5 years old. Since then Little Eddie has been going to school, where he is a straight "A" student and working towards going to college. In his spare time, Eddie enjoys swimming, collecting Comic books, spending time with his parents, 22 year old sister, Bryanna, 14-year-old sister, Emily, 3 dogs and a cat.

On March 30, 2022, while on spring break, "Little Eddie" began having headaches and feeling nausea. Eddie and his wife decided to take "Little Eddie” to Children's Hospital in Orange County, where he underwent a CT scan. Eddie and his wife subsequently received unimaginable news. The results of the CT scan revealed "Little Eddie" had a brain tumor which was described as a High Grade Glioma brain tumor. This type of tumor is a rare and aggressive form of pediatric cancer that is mostly common in adults.

“Little Eddie” immediately underwent brain surgery and the doctors successfully removed 90% of the brain tumor. “Little Eddie” spent 5 weeks undergoing radiation and receiving oral chemotherapy. As “Little Eddie” continued to follow his treatment plan, he suffered a seizure and was airlifted to Children's Hospital of Orange County. During this visit, the doctors discovered a second tumor.

Although “Little Eddie” and his family received this unimaginable news, “Little Eddie” continues to fight through every step of his treatment, even on the days he feels tired and sick. Despite it all, “Little Eddie” has not stopped smiling and uplifting his family.
