Little Collyns Needs Your Prayers and Support
Donation protected
On Tuesday, May 20th, little 6 month old Collyns was taken to LGH for respiratory distress and dehydration. After being evaluated by LGH, she was transferred to CHOP for extra special care from pediatric specialists at CHOP. Due to underlying conditions, Collyns has had a much harder time fighting this respiratory virus and pneumonia and has needed the support of a ventilator to keep her little lungs going.
They had not seen much change since Thursday, not better but not worse so they attempted to begin to wean her off the vent on Saturday May 25th, however, it resulted in quite the scare and she was just not ready.
Today, May 26th, she’s resting. They’re encouraging her to breathe on her own in short bursts to help strengthen her lungs. She’s working hard, and everyone is grateful she’s also getting some much-needed rest. At this time, we do not know how long Collyns will need the support of the vent, but it is certain her little lungs will need some time and watchful treatment.
If you are lucky enough to know Kaitlyn and Kyle, you know how wonderful, caring and giving of people they both are. Whether or not you have the pleasure of having Kaitlyn, Kyle, Palmer, and Collyns in your life, I’m sure you can imagine how tremendously tough this time is for them all. With Kaitlyn and Kyle needing to be close by Collyns’ side, it also means putting work on the back burner for the time being. It means hotels and hospital bills which only add to the stress of this scary situation If you are able to help in even the slightest, we know they would appreciate it. Even if unable to help donate, please keep them all in your prayers at this time.
