Little Aleenas heart and stroke journey

Hello everyone,

My name is faten and im the proud single parent of Aleena. Aleena is a bright, brave, and lovable girl who has been facing a tough battle with cardiomyopathy since December 2021. Recently, she was diagnosed with a form of cardiomyopathy that her sister had also struggled with, ultimately leading to a heart transplant.

The journey hasn't been easy. When Aleena's sister was diagnosed, our family had to uproot and move interstate to Melbourne, away from our entire support network of family and friends. Melbourne is where the specialized cardiology team and equipment necessary for Aleena's treatment are located, giving her the best chance at recovery.

This relocation has created significant challenges for me as i balance caring for my three girls at home while also being by Aleena's bedside during her treatments and recovery.

Recently, Aleena experienced a stroke, adding to the complexity of her condition and placing additional strain on my family. We've been doing our best to stay strong and navigate through these trying times, but the stress has become overwhelming.
