Help me save Gemma’s Life - she needs our help!

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Gemma. I am a Siamese/Torti mix. I am turning four this March and I love my new family and new big brother. Unfortunately, I have become ill with Severe Pancreatitis and a blockage in my intestines. I have already had several x-rays and blood work done. I don't have much of an appetite at the moment and am very weak and dehydrated. With bloodwork that has been completed, I have also come to learn I am also anemic. I am currently receiving fluids through an IV and shots of antibiotics along with B12 injections. My adoptive Mommy has been taking really good care of me and has taken me to the vet for medications, x-rays, fluids and supplements for the last few days. With the help of Sheltering Hands and Quail Meadow Animal Hospital in Ocala, Florida, I am getting the help I need to get me on the road to recovery, but we aren't done yet, I am still very unwell and need further medical attention. My mommy is doing everything she can to help as well but financial resources are running low, and we need your help! I am still needing to return for the next couple of days for vet visits and decide if we are able to move the blockage with the assistance of medications, or if I need to undergo surgery to have it removed. Only more vet visits and X-rays will tell. Every little bit helps along the way. All funds acquired will be given back to Sheltering Hands and Qual Meadow Animal Hospital for all of the treatment and supplies they are providing to get our little girl Gemma back on her paws and feeling herself again. You can reach out to Sheltering Hands to hear more about our story on Facebook. I will be sharing updates on how she is doing there as well. I understand the hesitation of donating to complete strangers, so Sheltering Hands in Ocala, Florida will also be taking in donations towards her treatment. To donate to sheltering hands for Gemma, please see their below link where it will take you to their main page where the contact info is displayed at the bottom. Thank you! :) https://www.shelteringhands.org

***UPDATE: we have come to find out there is a chance that FIP could be a factor. FIP is a virus in cats that is very difficult to cure. There is no approved medication for this virus yet. There is talk of a medication that may help her, but it’s a very long process. These antibiotics are very expensive and she will need around the clock care. Please help us bring Gemma home safe and healthy. Please.

***UPDATE: We have confirmed with multiple sources this is in fact FIP. We are looking to start treatment but this is a very expensive treatment that involves 84 days worth of injections with one injection a day. We need your help to make this possible. With the help of our family and the community, we can bring our little girl back on her paws and healthy again. This is going to be a long process. Please keep Gemma and our little family in your prayers.
