A Mission Rooted in Love and Learning
At the Max Rhymes Foundation, we believe every child deserves a chance to thrive—no matter where they come from. Our journey began with a simple yet powerful idea: to bring hope, education, and opportunity to at-risk children through the magic of fun rhymes, value-driven stories, and community positivity. We’re taking our mission a step further by raising funds to adopt at-risk kids in the Denver area, giving them the support they need to build brighter futures. Now that we are partnering with matching donors, every dollar you donate has 2X the impact!
Education and Social Crisis
Since our founding, we’ve been committed to fighting the chronic education and social crisis effecting our kids especially in our at-risk communities which are disproportionally impacted. Did you know the U.S. literacy rates have rapidly declined year after year. 2/3 students are not reading at grade level. The average American adult is reading at a 7th grade level (and getting worse every year). Many kids in our country do not have a single book at home, not because parents don’t care but because they lack the access to necessary educational resources.
What is worse is that depression and suicide rates in kids are skyrocketing year after year. A recent study by the CDC showed that 42% of kids experience persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness. This is because kids are not getting the fundamental building blocks to be successful in life and our schools and parents are underequipped to help them.
How we are Addressing the Crisis
Our at-risk communities are facing the worst parts of this crisis and are in desperate need of positive resources. The Max Rhymes Foundation has already made a significant difference in the lives of thousands of at-risk children by adopting over 650 classrooms across the country! With each school adoption, we provide every kindergarten student with their own set of Max Rhymes 5-Book Children’s Series completely FREE! In addition, we also provide the teachers with a set of books for their class, teacher module plans to help get the most out of each book, and other online resources to help the students. Lastly, the parents of each adopted student get access to FREE online activity guides that they can use at home so the kids are fully supported with our proven formula that combats this educational and social crisis!
The Max Rhymes Impact
Through our work, we’ve met countless children who have touched our hearts—like the little girl from Florida who told her mom she was going to pick up her toys so she could be responsible just like Max. Or the boy in Oakland who said, "When I'm sad, I read the Max books because the make me feel happy". These moments remind us why we do what we do and why this is so important.
(see the videos below for more stories just like these)
Not only do we have the testimonials from students, teachers and parents, we have the support of clinicians and the research that backs up the Max Rhymes impact. In North Carolina, one of our adopted schools used the Heggerty Phonemic Awareness Assessment to measure the impact of implementing Max Rhymes into their curriculum. The results were outstanding:
- 20% increase in peer interactions
- 14% increase in social problem solving
- 17% increase in engagement
- 10 - 34 % increase in literacy pre-cursers such as alphabet recognition, sound identification, and rhyme recognition
Join Us in Making a Difference
We’re now launching a new initiative to adopt at-risk kids in the Denver area, and we need your support to make it happen. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, every dollar you donate will go directly towards covering adoption costs, providing resources for new families, and ensuring these children have the support they need to thrive.
- $25 Donation = 1 adopted kid
- $100 Donation = 5 adopted kids
- $500 Donation = 1 entire classroom of kids!
By donating to the Max Rhymes Foundation, you’re not just giving a child a set of books—you’re giving them a family, a home, and a future. We’ve already seen the transformative power of community support in our work, and now we’re asking you to help us take the next step. Together, we can change the lives of at-risk kids in Denver, one adoption at a time. To be able to provide books to kids this fall, we need to have all donations in by July 1st! So don't wait to make a difference!
Will you help us write the next chapter for these children? Donate today and be a part of their story.
With gratitude,
