Books, Balls, and Brushes for Students in Need

Hi,

My name is Quinn and I am a student teacher at local public school in Kingston, Ontario. The students in my two classes have many barriers that complicate their education and they require additional support through supplies, books, and equipment to help them catch up to their peers and perform to their full potential.

I have started a reading tracker to boost literacy and when I launched my idea, I found out that many students do not have access to books at home. Being able to read, and boosting their reading abilties by reading at home is one of the best ways to increase success academically.

Also, having access to new sports equipment to play with and proper art supplies to help them create beautiful projects could go a long way. Movement can be helpful for students with ADHD and those who are processing trauma find ways to heal and focus.

My hope is to get my students excited about school and boost their engagement by giving them new and used items they can have at home and school. Donating even $5 can go a long way!
