Lita the rescue needs a double mastectomy

Hi, my name is Rachelle, and this is Lita. She is an 8 and a half year old Yorkie. She came to us as a foster. Her previous owner couldn’t care for her properly and surrendered her to us. She has not been cared for beyond basic shots. We have done a liver ultrasound, liver biopsy, chest X-rays, spaying, among other things. We have already spent in excess of $5,000. But she is worth it!

Because she wasn’t spayed, she has developed mammary tumors that may be cancerous. Because of this, she needs a double mastectomy that needs to be done in two surgeries because she is so small. The cost will be upwards of $5,000. We hate to ask, but we just need some help. We helped her previous owner with rent and a car payment and now find that we need help with this little sweetheart.
