Lita’s Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Anyone who knows Lalitpat Kobsombut (Lita) knows that she is the first person to reach out when you’ve had a bad day or need a friend. She’s always got a pun ready to brighten your day and is the type of friend that bakes you a dozen of the best cookies you’ve ever eaten just because she loves you. Lita never asks for anything in return for her endless kindness, but now she needs some of that support herself.
Lita was involved in a terrible accident Friday (6/22) in which she was hit by a car while visiting Boston and seriously injured. She has sustained severe damage to her leg and hip. She went through multiple surgeries over the weekend, including an 8 hour surgery on Saturday, and needed 6 liters of blood. The surgeries went well, but she could still need to amputate part of her leg.
While this is a horrible tragedy, it is especially terrible when it happens to such a beautiful person like Lita. She’s been handling it with complete grace (and of course some sass).
However, she’s already facing steep medical costs because of all of the procedures. We’re hoping to help raise at least $10,000 to help relieve some of the stress of those bills, so she can focus entirely on her recovery.
No amount is too small (or too large). Lita has shared so many moments of kindness with all of us, and we’re hoping we can all help repay that kindness with a little of our own.
