Help Support Lisette’s Final Expenses

On July 13th, my sister Lisette went to the emergency room for what we thought was a simple infected cut on her leg. During a CT scan, doctors unexpectedly discovered a mass on her pancreas, and further scans revealed another on her liver. After more testing and a biopsy, she received the devastating diagnosis of stage 4 Pancreatic cancer that had metastasized to her liver.

Lisette had shown no symptoms, no warning signs, she had always been vibrant, active, and full of life. To go from being completely healthy to hearing she had an incurable cancer was unimaginable and heartbreaking. While there were therapies that could have helped improve her quality of life and possibly given her more time, her treatment was delayed due to the leg wound that initially brought her to the hospital. The wound has yet to heal, which meant she could not begin any of the treatments that might have prolonged her life.

Lisette is now at home under hospice care with me and her daughter by her side. We have been told she does not have much time left. This has been an incredibly painful and emotional journey for our family, and my only goal now is to make sure Lisette’s final days are filled with comfort, love, and dignity.

I have taken on the full financial responsibility for her care, and sadly, there is no life insurance in place. I am humbly asking for any assistance to help cover Lisette’s final expenses, as well as the costs needed to carry out her final wishes when the time comes.
