Lisbeth’s rehabilitation after a stroke

On May 2nd 2019 my mom Lisbeth had a stroke, a blood clot in the brain. We were lucky that she survived but unfortunately it had serious consequences for Lisbeth; she is paralyzed in her left leg and left arm, and her short term memory has suffered. After immediate hospital care for a few weeks she was moved to a rehabilitation center, specialized in aphasia, but more than an hour away from her family. While rehabilitation has been decent, the everyday care at the center has been negligent due to bad management and cuts in public healthcare. Lisbeth’s husband Ulrik has had to be with her for over 12 hours a day, particularly mornings and evenings. After a few very serious incidents we therefore found it necessary to move her to another care center much closer to her family, a mere 15 min bike ride away. Unfortunately the new place does not offer physiotherapy to the extend that Lisbeth needs. She has to buy this privately at her own expense. With the loss of work time by Ulrik, this has become a financial struggle for them. I’m asking her friends and fans for small donations for this purpose; the amount will cover app. 1 month of private physiotherapy. We all hope that she will be able to use her limbs again and that her memory and orientation ability will get better, and that she will eventually will sing again. ❤️
