Monday night my husband had to take me to the ER. I had extremely bad pain in my lower back and pelvic area and I could barely walk - the ER took a CT scan, it was a kidney stone, nothing too serious!
Unforuntately the CT scan also revealed that I had a 12cm cyst on my right ovary. The doctor was very concerned, and urged me to get surgery for removal of the cyst (and likely the ovary as well) as soon as possible.
Well a couple days after I got back home, we found out the hospital I'd gone to for the ER and the surgeon we visited for the consultation were out of network for my insurance. If we'd known this we obviously would have gone elsewhere - so we'll be footed with a very large bill.
My insurance will also not cover the entirety of the surgery I need.
My husband and I can use a credit card to cover what we must, but to be completely honest we need help.
Everything donated will go to medical expenses, and treatment. (If we exceed our goal I'll be open to suggestions for what to do with any excess funds.)
Until we get the actual bills, I've set the goal for $5,000 USD, the rough estimate of what the cost will be. When we have a definite number, I'll make sure to update so it's correct.
Every little bit helps, and every single donation is so much appreciated. Even if you cannot or do not want to donate, sending good vibes our way is a great gesture.
