My dear friend Lisa is 42 years old and was diagnosed with colon cancer a couple of weeks ago. For those of you who don't know her, she is a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend. She is a strong, smart, ambitious and hard working woman. She has worked really hard so far to put herself through college and more recently pharmacy school, while working and taking care of her daughter Isis and son Alec.
Lisa will start her treatment plan next week, which consists of 6 weeks of radiation and chemotherapy, 8-12 weeks of recovery, surgery, an additional 4-8 weeks of recovery from the surgery and then another 4 months of chemotherapy. As a result, she will take a leave of absence from work. Please help me raise money to help cover some of the medical expenses and everyday necessities that are crucial at this time.
