It's a strange feeling to see a moment when your life changes forever, to recognize it and to know that you can never go back to the way it was.

Hello everyone, my name is Lisa Bower and I'm asking for help in the craziest, hardest moment of my life. This truly wasn't how I planned on making my announcement for moving to Chicago from my native hometown Denver, Colorado, but my life has taken a turn for the worst (literally) and I'm asking for help in my healing and new journey.

I am a community director at a commercial 20k sqft coworking facility. I was on my way to work at 7:00 am when my car hit black ice and I went spinning. My life flashed before my eyes and I crashed head-on into a huge tree.

This accident resulted in a massive lingering concussion with a baseball-sized open wound on my skull that needed staples. I've broken my toes and need crutches just to even get up from contusions to my knees, legs, arms, and even my hands. I have been bedridden and missing work. I'm having short-term memory issues and everything has been exhausting and overwhelming. My car is officially totaled and it was my means of transportation to Chicago for my big move.

It's going to be a long recovery mentally, physically, and most definitely emotionally. I'm officially at my wit's end with options and I don't know what my life is going to look like, so I'm seeking support from my friends and family during this time of need.

Why I Need Help

To help pay for medical bills including:

CT scans of the brain and skull

X-rays of my hip and knee

Future MRI, appointments with a chiropractor, and medicine for any relief.

To help with my travels to Chicago in my new home including getting a car to get me there.

To help pay for my new apartment from being out of work.
