Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters,

My name is Jennifer White, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my incredible sister, Lisa. On May 13, 2025 our family received heartbreaking news: Lisa has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Triple Negative Breast Cancer.

Lisa is the kind of person who has always given her heart and her time to others. She spent years as a public-school teacher, shaping young lives and showing up for her students in ways that went far beyond the classroom. Outside of work, she has given of her time and resources in the recovery community as well as those incarcerated. Even now, Lisa continues her passion for helping others by working at a nonprofit helping adults get their high school equivalency diploma.

But where Lisa shines the most is in her role as an aunt. She loves spending time with her family and especially enjoys being an aunt to her six nephews, two nieces, and two great-nephews. Being part of their lives brings her immeasurable joy, and we’re all fighting to make sure she has many more years to create memories with them.

What We’re Facing

Lisa’s diagnosis has changed everything. Between doctor’s appointments, chemotherapy, and looking ahead to surgery in November, followed by radiation. The physical, emotional, and financial toll has been overwhelming. Even with insurance, the out-of-pocket costs are more than our family can handle alone. On top of that, Lisa is unable to work full-time right now, and has already maxed out paid leave, which makes covering everyday living expenses like rent, utilities, and groceries incredibly difficult.

Our Goal: $25,000

We’re asking for your support to help ease Lisa’s financial burden so she can focus fully on what matters most: healing and getting back to the people and work she loves.
