Lisa’s fight against aggressive bladder cancer
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Julia Kelley and I’m From Mississippi. On Sunday October 22nd my mother in law Lisa Hoard was hospitalized with a mass on her bladder. After further testing it was determined to be cancer and the doctors made the decision to try and remove the tumor. The surgery was performed but unfortunately the tumor had already grown into the muscular walls and the team of surgeons couldn’t remove but 80% of the tumor. Lisa is now needed further treatment which requires a full radical cystectomy. This surgery removes the entire bladder, nearby lymph nodes, part of the urethra and nearby organs that may contain cancer cells. We are asking for any donations to help with her care throughout this long medical journey she is on. Anything will be greatly appreciated.
Here is a little back story on Lisa. Lisa is a caring, kindhearted, hardworking, loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Lisa has two grown children, and 9 grandchildren. Lisa worked for the daily journal for many years until this past summer when her health started to decline. She loves spending time with all of her grandchildren, fishing, spending time with family and friends and playing fetch with her fur baby. Please help us in Lisa’s fight against cancer by donating anything that you can. Thank you.
