Welcome to the new fundraiser page. I created Mealtrain without realizing the gracious monetary donations we would receive nor realize the severity of Lisa’s condition and the recovery process. After reviewing the fees for mealtrain for monetary donations, I was appalled! We want to transition to another company where this would be more beneficial for my sister and family and decided GOFUNDME was the best option!!! We would like to thank everyone that followed and participated in the meal train plus fundraiser through donations or bringing a meal to the Martisek family. We know it is quite the trek to the Martisek home. All updates will be posted to this page going forward. Thank you all for your continuous prayers and support for my sister and her family. Welcome to the Lisa Martisek’s and family’s Fundraiser! (All donations will go directly to Eric & Lisa’s account) We are so grateful for all the love, support, and prayers for our sister Lisa as she recovers from Central Nervous System Vasculitis that has attacked her healthy brain cells and has left an unknown & long road to recovery. Lisa has been in and out of Northwestern Memorial & Shirley Ryan Ability Lab and her husband has been her rock and support beam. We are here to ease the stress and burdens that come along with illness. Lisa will need remodeling of their home for wheelchair access and ramps..widening of doorways..advanced medical equipment that insurance doesn’t always cover and home nursing care. She is the strongest and most fierce person I know. Lisa has this light and shine that whenever she walks into a room..everyone notices and her laughter resonates for days! She is a wife..a mother..a sister..a best friend..a daughter..she is the captain of her ship! We all want to help..but feel helpless in her recovery..so we wanted to create this fundraiser to support the Martisek crew during this challenging time!
