I have set up this account in hopes of helping my best friend, Lisa Kelliher, who recently had open heart surgery. A month ago, after working hard to raise money for a non-profit organization that helps women in recovery from substance abuse, she set out to run the Falmouth Road Race. Unbeknownst to her, she had a heart attack on the starting line. Determined as she was, she pushed through and finished the race. A week later she found herself in the hospital preparing for emergency open heart surgery. She is now on the other side of surgery and is home recovering. She has been out of work for a month now and still has another month ahead which has left her in a financial struggle. With trying to recover from surgery, she's been left with the stress of figuring out how she is going to manage to pay bills, rent, buy groceries, etc. with no income.
I have known Lisa for three years and have watched her battle her way into recovery from addiction. Not only has she worked hard to achieve the life that she has, I have seen her dedicate herself to helping other people with their struggle. She is one of the most selfless people I know and I want to use this page as an opportunity to give back to her.
Let's come together to help support and carry her through this time while she is recovering from surgery.
