Hello everyone, Lisa fell randomly ill the 1st week of October and went to the 1st hospital where they diagnosed her with a UTI and a issue with her neck. She was then released and her condition worsened even bring on antibiotics. She then was admitted in the hospital Via ambulance October 8th. Durring her stay at the 2nd hospital she continued to get worse and a infection in her blood was found. Durring that time Donny(husband) Brianna (daughter) and Austin (son) have been driving back and forth to and from the hospitals very often. Lisa also had lost function of her right arm and leg aswell as speech issues due to the pressure on her spine from the infection. It then was discovered that Lisa had contracted spinal meningitis. She then was transferred to boston. The infection very quickly spread to her spine and surgery was needed. Lisa was then in surgery for about 6 hours to flush her spine and release pressure but also fix her spine issues aswell. Lisa is not out of the woods yet until the infection is gone. After surgery she was unable to use
her right arm and leg still. Hopefully physical therapy will help her have use of her right side but not 100 percent if that is possible. She will need lots of physical therapy and assistance threw her recovery. Durring these last few weeks Lisa has gone threw hell and back. She is such a strong woman. Her family has been staying at hotels and driving back and forth durring this time to make sure they are there for Lisa durring this hard time. ( covid has not made this easy) Lisa will be staying in Boston and the expenses will be adding up between hospital bills, traveling and hotel stays especially for Donny to stay close by for his wife. Lisa will have a long road to recovery ahead of her aswell. Thank you so much to everyone that has reached out and send flowers to fill this beautiful woman's hospital rooms. It's been a constant reminder of all the love and has bought Lisa much joy! I'm asking for donations to help them threw this hard time in hope to help release some stress and help support Lisa.
