It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Lisa Melnyk-Cramer. Lisa passed away suddenly on November 18th, 2021 from an intracranial bleed. She was a picture of health, and there were no warning signs before the event. She passed away peacefully at St Joseph's hospital in Bellingham, WA with loved ones at her side. 

Lisa was nearing completion of her training in her pursuit of her dream to become an ultrasound technician. She was living in Friday Harbor while doing her residency at PeaceHealth, the local medical center. She was beloved in her neighborhood of Rolling Hills and fostered friendships with everyone she encountered and left a long lasting impression on all of those she met.

Lisa was a shining beacon of selflessness and love to all, who touched the lives of so many. As each day passes we are shown more and more the examples of her grace brought to light through stories of her from everyone she encountered. She always put others ahead of herself and would sacrifice her own well-being to help another person in need. 

As Lisa's children, we have started a fundraiser to help cover the cost of her hospital and funeral expenses, as well as other unexpected expenses associated with her departure. Our family was not prepared for this unexpected tragedy, and during this difficult time we are reaching out to friends and loved ones for help. 

Funds will go to help cover the costs of the funeral, outstanding medical bills, and a plot near her beloved getaway at Lake Chelan where her family can return every year to visit and remember all the memories we shared with her.
