Lisa Maeckel's Health Care Support

We are reaching out on behalf of our esteemed colleague, Lisa Maeckel, who has served our community for many years as a caring and skillful counselor.  Most of you know of her work as a practitioner who has specialized in attachment oriented therapy.  Her love of this work and her expertise in this area has touched many people’s lives in a deeply healing way.

One year ago, Lisa received some disheartening news that the basal cell carcinoma she had been getting treatment for had metastasized to the bone.  This is a rare occurrence for this type of cancer and has brought particular challenges to her treatment. Since then she has been fighting the cancer aggressively, engaging in both conventional and naturopathic treatments. At present the cancer has not responded as well as hoped to the conventional treatments, so Lisa is considering some treatments that lie outside allopathic medicine. She feels that this direction would be in greater alignment with the care and healing she wishes to bring to herself.  That said, her insurance does not cover these treatments… and this is where the ask comes in:

We are wanting to support Lisa's full recovery and we are asking your help in bringing this to fruition.  Our targeted goal is $30,000.00.  This sum would go to fund her treatment as well as to help offset the loss of income while going through the treatment.
