LISA KOSTENICK ALLEN
Donation protected
My name is Tracey Seeley Wenner. I met Lisa Suzanne Kostenick Allen in November 1976, at Christ the King Lutheran Church, in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. My family had just moved from S. California. Our families became fast friends both in and out of church. My 46+ year relationship with Lisa has been the mainstay throughout my pre-adolescence to the present. It is a rare day where we don't speak at least once or where we have not left one another several voice messages. There is no other person who knows the entirety of my good, my bad, my beautiful, my ugly. There is no minor or significant event that has occured in her life or mine that we are not a part of, together.
The day Lisa told me her biopsy results, stage IV Uterine cancer, was the most traumatic day of my life. I sprung into action with a litany of tasks. I had to do something. Keep it intellectual so that I would not crumble. Lisa had peace prior to diagnosis. She 'knew' she had cancer. Neither of us were prepared for stage IV.
In the Bible, the book of James, chapter 1, verses 2 & 3 (James 1:2-3), it reads: "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverence." Many of you, who are friends of Lisa's on Facebook, see the manifestation of this JOY in her posts. Lisa has been on, what a mutual friend of ours has called, "The Joy Train." I am not on that train. My heart resists buying a ticket. My best friend has never had cancer and I am struggling immensely.
When I pray to my Father God, pertaining to Lisa, I ask that MY will be done. God wants me/us to be real with Him. So, I cry out to Him for Lisa to receive the miracle of complete health and healing, spirit, soul and body. Then I try to conclude, by faith, for HIS will be done as my dearheart, Lisa, has demonstrated and encouraged me to do. You see, I grew up, physically and spiritually, with Lisa ending prayers with, "Thy will be done."
I asked Lisa if I could establish a GoFundMe for her. Your donations would be used for her current and future medical expenses. Many of us have asked Lis if there is ANYTHING she needs or that we could do for her. I thought the establishment of this fundraiser had the potential to remove (or significantly reduce) the stressor of financial burden of uncovered medical and related expenses.
Some of you may not be in a situation to give monetarily, some of you are. Regardless, I ask for your prayers of the will of the Father to be done in Lisa's life. Your prayers, the most critical and giving thing you can do for her. Your finances; a very personal, very helpful, very needed and much appreciated gift. I thank each and every one of you for your prayers, your words of love, support and encouragement, to include your consideration to donate monetarily. Please share this GoFundMe with others on your social media platforms. Many thanks!
