Lisa Houghton Accident Recovery Fund
Update 9/1/21 - Liza had surgery to repair her leg, ankle and elbow. Surgery went well and the doctor is optimistic. However, he warned the family that the road to recovery will be a long and tough one. I will keep you all posted as more information is available.
I'm sure some of you have heard, and for those of you who have reached out Rob and Liza really appreciate your thoughts, prayers and offers of help. For those of you that are unaware, Monday afternoon Liza and Rob were on their way home from the Georgia Paint Horse Club show and pulling their camper when they had a tire failure causing them to lose control on I10 and hit a tree in the median.
Due to the impact, Liza was pinned inside the truck, and as you can see by the photos they had to cut her out in order to free her. Without getting too deep into her medical sheets she sustained some significant injuries to her leg and arm, to where she had to be air lifted to Shands of UF for treatment. Rob is a little bruised and banged up but is doing ok. The injuries she sustained will require a significant recovery process. Please consider donating to help them offset their medical expenses as Liza will be unable to work for months.
We also ask to please let her rest. She will have plenty of time to reach out to everyone once she is feeling better. Please leave the phone lines open for family.
We would like to thank you for your compassion and generosity.
