Lisa Hogan fights NonHodgkins Mantel Cell Lymphoma

Donation protected
As some of you may know, our friend LISA HOGAN, who has always been filled with fun, life and excitement has been diagnosed with a very rare cancer called Mantle Cell Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. It is a very aggressive chronic cancer and at present there is no cure, only a management approach. This disease is chronic, and Lisa will need help as she will be unable to work and undergoing treatments and hospital stays due to common low blood counts and issues.

Three years ago, Lisa moved back home to care for her mother who was diagnosed with Alzheimers disease. She has given up her life to be the sole caregiver of her mother. Lisa has been with her mother full-time over the past three years and this stress has not helped her in the healing process. The stress has been unbelievably intense and with stage 4 cancer, it has become life threatening. At this time, she feels she has no choice but to move her mom into a facility who can care for her.

Now Lisa is living alone with all the bills to pay, she has amassed a myriad of hospital and medical bills over 20k and will hit her out-of-pocket expense of $8,800 every year. In February the cancer was so advanced that her lung collapsed, and she went into respiratory failure which landed her in the hospital for over a week and she is now on 24/7 oxygen. The immunotherapy treatments started shortly thereafter and worked for a short time, but with the intense stress of caring for her mother with no help, the cancer came back. She will be getting a port placed in her chest in the coming weeks and will be undergoing an intense form of chemotherapy.

Lisa will most likely need an around the clock caregiver while going through this new treatment which is quite expensive, add in her current and future medical bills and cost of living and it has stress written all over it. At some point she most likely will need a stem cell transplant which basically will be a month-long hospitalization. Lisa has thrown so many fundraisers to help so many people and has donated to help others her entire life. She is proud and didn't want to ask for anyone's help but has no choice at this time. She will be applying for disability but that's a mere $1,200 a month. It will barely cover food and utilities. We are asking for a large amount so we don't have to keep throwing fundraisers for her. We will be using funds for transportation, home care and other future expenses.

Lisa has had a rough time these past few years and has taken good care of her mother when she needed her most. Between the loss of her brother, her only sibling in 2019, caring for her mother and now her cancer diagnosis it's a miracle she still has time for a joke, but it's Hogan so you know it's happened. We do occasionally get out for an outdoor lunch but with a highly compromised immune system she is susceptible to coronavirus and any other airborne illness.

Today is Lisa's birthday, it would be a fantastic birthday present to ease a lot of her financial burden and stress. If you are able, please help Lisa, who has brought us so many laughs and good times. Hopefully, we can throw her a party someday and celebrate a much-needed remission.
