On the 29th of October, our beloved daughter and sister Lisa, received life-altering news. After weeks of feeling unwell and after countless doctor visits, she was diagnosed with a large tumor on her ovary. The devastating confirmation that it is cancerous has completely upended her world.

Lisa is facing unimaginable pain, discomfort, and emotional strain—an ordeal no one should ever endure. Yet, in true Lisa spirit, she’s confronting this challenge head on with unwavering strength.

We are immensely grateful to our Irish family, who have wrapped Lisa, her partner Mick, and little Michael in love and care during this difficult time. For those of us far away, it’s heartbreaking not to be there to hold her hand and offer reassurance in person.

As you read this, Lisa may already be undergoing major surgery to remove the tumor and have a hysterectomy—a profound, life-changing event that no one can truly prepare for.
