Lisa Farrow Recovery Fund

Any donations made to this fund will go to assist with long term medical care for my sister, Lisa Farrow as she fights to recover from her brain aneurysm. The latest update on her status is below:
Most of you know that my sister, Lisa Farrow, was admitted to the hospital Thursday night after collapsing at home. She had a brain aneurysm that ruptured and caused her to lose consciousness. The doctors tell us there is really no rhyme or reason behind who can be afflicted with this and there are really no warning signs that could have detected or prevented the anuerysm.
She was admitted to the ICU and the doctor's spent the night working to stabilize her enough for surgery to clamp off the aneurysm the next day. She made it through surgery and was kept in a medically induced coma until yesterday, May 14th, when she gave our mom the best Mother's Day present she could have ever given, which was coming out of her coma and recognizing mom and me. She is still intubated with a breathing tube to assist her breathing, so she can't speak. She also has a lot of swelling and fluid in her brain, so doesn't have feeling or movement in anything but her left hand. We hope that as the swelling subsides, she will regain feeling and mobility. The doctors tell us this will be a very long journey to recovery. The first 21 days after surgery are critical as Lisa is at a high risk of stroke from what are called vasospasms. In layman's terms, the arteries in her brain are very aggravated and constrict. This is common in anuerysm cases and the biggest risk to her recovery currently.
The doctor's did detect the warning signs of vasospasm activity today, so as I type this, she is undergoing another procedure where they insert a line into her groin and feed it up through her arteries into her brain where they will take measurements of the arteries and inject medication directly at the site to lessen these spasms. We are again hopeful that this will calm the spasm activity and allow her brain the time it needs to heal.
I will continue to update this page as we have any news regarding her status. Thank you all for your continued love and healing thoughts you are sending her way. Please keep them coming. For those of you asking if there is anything you can do, I will also post updates as to any support that may be needed and we appreciate all your offers of help. Please use this page to contact me with any questions. As you can imagine, this has been an incredibly difficult time for my parents and they are having a hard time talking about it. I have been sharing everyone's messages with them and they appreciate you all, but prefer not to receive calls or visits just yet while we process all this and get a better understanding of Lisa's status and recovery. Also, while Lisa is in ICU the next 2-3 weeks, she cannot have visitors or flowers, so please hold off on sending anything to the hospital or planning a visit. I'll let everyone know when we have a better idea of when she may receive visitors in the future.
Thank you again and I hope to have good news to share with you all soon.
