This is Kim Higgins and I'm setting up this fund for my sister-in-law Lisa Duhon Higgins. Many of you know that Lisa has been in ICU with COVID for a few weeks now. It appears she will be there for a while longer. She is currently on a ventilator, one lung is 30% collapsed and having kidney issues. She definitely has a long road ahead of her.

 

First and foremost, please be praying for God to heal Lisa's body.

Secondly, not only is this an emotional stressor but a financial strain as well. For those of you that have known Rick & Lisa over the last few decades then you know that Lisa is a proud mom of three handsome boys/men! Two of which are disabled and completely dependant, requiring full-time care. Rick & Lisa have taken care of the twins in their home for the last 32 years.  With Lisa in the hospital, Rick is using his benefits at work for time off but that will soon run out. Even when Lisa comes home, she will need a lot of time to recover before she can step back in and care for the twins as they are fully grown men. Medical expenses and nursing care for the boys so Rick can continue working is the priority with these funds. I have set up this fund so we all can help.
