You may or may not know that Lisa has been battling with her health over the last couple of years. What started off as continuous bladder & kidney infections turned out to be Kidney cancer. Lisa had half of her kidney removed but unfortunately there has been a lot of damage left in those areas. She now has no use of her bladder and is on a permanent catheter and it has also affected her spine, so she is now immobile and is bed bound, needing round the clock carers & she is confined to a hospital bed in her front room. She has also been in and out of hospital constantly due to continuous infections and everything is still being investigated.
She started up a hobby of jewellery making to pass the time, as her life has changed dramatically in the last 2 years. And she has asked friends if they’d like some for a donation towards a wheelchair as the she can’t sit properly or comfortably on the NHS provided ones. She hasn’t gone into detail of her condition as doesn’t want to ask for charity, but Lisa herself has raised over £70’000 for various charities over the years, including the North London Hospice, MacMillan, Noah’s Ark & Breast Cancer, so I think it’s time she was offered help now she is in need. She is currently back in hospital so now can’t make the jewellery until she is better and back home.
All she wants is some kind of normality for herself and her children, she wants to be able take them out, to be able to start caring for them again, not the other way around. She also wants freedom and to be able to leave her bed in her front room. Lisa is only 43, has 3 kids, the youngest starting secondary school in September and has a grandson who she just wants to care for and have days out with them all.
If anyone can donate anything, big or small it would mean the world.
Or if you can’t afford anything right now, which is completely understandable, could you please just click share… to your socials or what’s app groups- or both, as there may be someone in your friends and family who would like to donate….
Thank you all for reading
Now let’s get Lisa this very much needed wheelchair!
Any extra will go towards her carers and days out for her kids who have been like a rock to her, but she wants to care for them, not the other way around so any funds will also go to treating them as they’ve also had to go through this alongside Lisa. Xx
