Hi, My name is Cami, and I am fundraising for my childhood long-time friend Lisa. Lisa has been diagnosed with Synovial Sarcoma which is an extremely rare and hard-to-cure cancer. She has been told her prognosis could be from 18-36 months. She then underwent a lung operation where the middle right lobe of her lung was removed. Following the surgery, she started chemotherapy where she was required to stay in the hospital for 6 days straight, with the chemo administered to her 5 of the 6 days. The chemo was given to her through the end of February 2021. The follow-up CT scans every 3 months discovered cancer had not been fully eradicated from her body. Another surgery was recommended in September 2022.
Lisa has found a great doctor who specializes in rare cancer in NY. She is seeking to join a trial therapy which is called T Cell therapy. So far the evidence has been very hopeful for people who have been diagnosed with Synovial Sarcoma.
Lisa and her husband Bruce have been very blessed to be able to come up with the annual insurance deductible every year since the cancer has been found. However to obtain treatment that could save her life she and a caretaker must travel to San Fransisco. NY and other states to get the best treatment possible to help cure. There will be several trips and a month-long stay after the TCells are infused. We are asking for family and friends to please help donate to ease the burden of the high cost of medical and traveling expenses.
Thank you!
