Lisa Bransky-Miller is a very close and life long friend of mine - 2017 ended very cruelly for Lisa and her family, as she lost her baby sister, Jennifer, on Christmas Day.
Lisa and her mother were faced with many heartaches resulting from that loss, the most significant being the care of the two sons Jennifer left behind.. Realizing that her mother - who is very ill herself - needed to start preparing herself to take on a large part in the care and nurturing of those children .. Then, the unthinkable happened again.
A few weeks ago, Lisa was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer. She is soon to be going for chemotherapy treatments, and, if you know anything about these treatments, they are not easy to go through - they will leave Lisa zapped of energy, and, what I fear the most, her will to keep on going.
She will miss a great deal of work, and is unable to collect disability when she does - not to mention the mountains of medical bills that will accrue due to the insurance plan she purchased not even remotely covering half of it.
This has devastated her both spiritually and financially - it has been a daily struggle to put food on the table and keep up with her monthly bills. She is drowning with what seems like no way out - she doesn't want to burden her mother with any more despair, as I said, her mother is very ill herself, having C.O.P.D.
