Lisa Anne Laird

Hi to all Lisas friends and family and all the people she touched in her life. Lisa passed away from her battle with breast cancer on the 9th of April 2025 at 05:33 am, 13 years after being diagnosed.

Her flame burned so bright and lit up the lives of all who came into her presence, she made all that was bad in the world good. She fought her cancer with single minded determination and never let it define her, always a nice word or joke with the people she came into contact with.

As her husband, we discussed what she wanted as a legacy for her, so we would like to ask any that can, in lieu of flowers to donate to this fund, which will be bequeathed to the Far North Qld Hospital Foundation, specifically for use in the Innisfail Hospital Chemotherapy department, to enable them to purchase equipment that they desperately need.

This regional Chemotherapy ward provides amazing support for local and regional women, and men who suffer from breast cancer and all types of cancer. As a user of this facility, Lisa often wondered how the staff managed with limited resources and old outdated equipment to provide the service they did, she could not speak more highly of them.
