Aloha to all! Through the life of one special person, many of us have been deeply blessed.

Lisa Anderson, beloved daughter, wife, mother, friend, secretary of Camp Wainanae, and follower of Jesus, passed to her rest on Christmas day, 2019. It was only one year before that she was diagnosed with ALS, a disease where the motor neurons are attacked, limiting one’s ability to swallow, move, and speak. She fought bravely, and even told us that the Lord was holding her through all of it. She leaned on her Saviour’s strength to the end, surrounded by family.

For those that were privileged to know her, we will always remember the radiance of her positivity, her eyes that danced with joy, and her genuine care for people. Just her presence brought peace, joy, and love. . . the ideals embodied in Jesus’ arrival 2,000 years ago. Christmastime became the season she breathed her last.

Lisa and Dennis both have roots in Washington state and Arizona. To remember Lisa with all, the Anderson’s will not only share a memorial service on Oahu (January 4, 2020), but also, in Arizona (January 18,2020), for family and friends that live on the mainland.

Many have been asking how they can contribute in a way that is meaningful. This gofundme is set up in response to these requests, and will help with the expenses of Lisa’s End of Life and also offset travel expenses incurred by the Anderson family as they attend this mainland memorial service.

The second part of this gofundme is in honor of Lisa’s request to have her ashes scattered in Norway. Norway was very special to her for a number of reasons, including that her late father, who was very special to her, was Norwegian. It is also the intentional destination of the Anderson’s last family vacation together after the discovery of Lisa’s ALS. Lisa wanted Dennis and her kids to bring her ashes to Norway together. This gofundme is also to offset the travel expenses of this memorial trip to Norway.

While Dennis has not asked for any gifts, we humbly ask that you consider giving a gift in lieu of flowers this season. In doing this, we will celebrate the life she lived and also fulfill her wishes in regards to her passing. Thank you for your generous support to celebrate a special lady that was blessing to all she came in contact with.  May we all be inspired to live for Jesus just like Lisa.
