My name is Lisa, and I am trying to raise money to help cover expenses related to my cancer treatment.

Cancer is prevalent in both sides of my family, and I have been vigilant about going through all of the recommended testing for cancer across the board. I had a mammogram in February of 2023 which had “normal” results. Imagine my surprise when at a regular well check on September 5, 2023 I was sent in for CT scans which revealed multiple lesions in my liver. A whirlwind of scans and tests later, I was officially diagnosed 2 weeks later with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.

Due to the overwhelming severity of the situation, I have been out on a leave of absence since the initial scan date. I have officially run out of sick and vacation time with work as of today. Now, 21 days after this all began, I am beginning my first round of chemotherapy and wondering how the bills will be paid while I get through this.
