Hi, my name is Lily, and I created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friend Lir and her greyhound, Mercury. Here is her message:

I'm writing this with a heavy heart and a lot of hope. Recently, my bestest girl, Mercury, was diagnosed with a diaphragmatic hernia. This could be a tear or possibly a cancerous mass, but both require MRI testing and urgent surgery. Without it, I'm afraid I may lose my best friend and emotional support animal.

Mercury is a sweet 10-year-old rescued racing greyhound, and it would mean the world to me if I could keep her in my life for many more years.

Due to unforeseen financial hardship, covering the cost of the MRI, surgeries, and follow-up care has become impossible for our family. The total cost is estimated to be $10,000, including surgery, medication, and recovery.

She is the love of my life—my constant companion through all the rough patches.
