Lionel was a bright-eyed and infectiously happy 8-year-old boy. He was so full of excitement and positive energy. He enjoyed subjects like science, art, and math! And of course, like many kids his age, Lego Land was a highly favored treat. His favorite color was blue and his favorite cartoon was Looney Toon's. Lionel had aspirations of becoming a police officer and an art teacher. We believe that Captain Underpants may have inspired his heroic and creative endeavors.

Lionel's love and affection towards his family and friends was tremendous. He was so kind and personable to everyone he met. It is so difficult to share this type of news because children are so innocent. And no parent should have to go through a burial checklist for a child. My friend has dedicated her heart and soul to providing for, protecting and nurturing her children. Nothing has prepared her for a tragedy of this magnitude.
