Fundraiser Updates:

As you can see in our fundraiser video, Lionel is edited in. We are planning on building many life size versions of him so he can truly live in the world of this film. We have decided to add an extra $5,000 to our budget to accommodate for the extra efforts of practically building our star, Lionel, and for festival submissions.

Synopsis:

Lionel is story about an artist coming into her own, and outgrowing her relationship. Fresh out of a break up, we see her monotonous life. Wake up, go to her day job, come home, make a depressing dinner, repeat. She is lacking inspiration in her life, but finds herself taking an interest in a regular at her coffee shop, sketching him during lulls in the work day. She falls asleep sketching him one night, and wakes up to find the paper missing from her notebook, torn out. She shrugs it off and goes back to her routine. When she comes home that night, she finds her drawing, human size, sitting at her dining table. A life size paper man. Lionel. We then enter this surreal world where they fall in love. She brings him to parties, adventuring, and they fall into a routine of their own. She begins to feel a bit trapped in the relationship, inconvenienced by all of the things that come with having a paper boyfriend, but she has a solution, leading to her new journey in self discovery.
