Lionel Mapp a dear husband, son, father, brother, co-worker, uncle, cousin and friend parishes from this world on May 17, 2017 just 2 days after his 30th birthday. He passed away from an undiagnosed heart condition that lead to cardiac arrest. Although his earthly heart could beat no more; his love lives on forever in all those who came in contact with him. He was a loving, cheerful, one of a kind gentle giant that did his best to make a difference in this world.

As the word spread of his passing, his family, friends and the community were immediately devastated by the news. He will not only be remembered by the funny jokes he told, the bear hugs he gave but by the good character he took pride in. It would not be uncommon for Lionel to remind you to “Use your manners because manners matter”.

We are starting this campaign to reach out to anyone and everyone that knew him to help alleviate some of the funeral and other costs that his family will endure. Lionel leaves his young family to grieve him; wife and college sweetheart Marcella, one son Rashard and his unborn daughter Lila. Bigg Mapp was a man of more selfless acts than you could count and it is our turn to help him out. A donation of any size is appreciated and will help out.
