Fundraising for Lin’s Transition Surgeries

My name’s Lindsey, I’m a 20 year old trans woman living in Australia.

I’m fundraising for a few gender affirming surgeries, including bottom surgery (SRS) and voice feminisation surgery. However currently my main goal is to get SRS (particularly SRS-PPV) which I’m aiming to complete at the Kamol Hospital in Thailand. This has been a goal for me for a long time, however I’ve been unable to raise the funds on my own thus far. I get very intense dysphoria regarding this area of my body, and would benefit greatly in terms of mental health from getting this surgery as soon as possible.

Currently I’m a full time University student, studying Child Psychology. I have diagnosed POTs Syndrome and Hypermobility, alongside undiagnosed EDS. All of these conditions run in the family and are constant and debilitating. This means that some days I’m simply too fatigued and/or sore to get up and do things, despite how passionate and excited I am to learn and work hard. I’m currently looking for a job that would be understanding of these conditions. However I am still actively saving up for this surgery on my own, and currently do freelance graphic design to very slowly save up for surgeries. I do however live alone, and over 95% of my government payments go towards rent alone, so any money I earn on the side has been going directly to my groceries, making it very hard to save up for these surgeries.

My current goal is $30,000, however I know this is a very large goal. Fulfilling this goal should cover my SRS surgery, as well as the trip to and from Thailand, and hopefully my hospital stay there as well. I’ve been saving for many years now, however if I were to keep this pace up I wouldn’t get the surgery any time within the next 10 years.
