This morning, our world was shaken.

While Linney Eley—a devoted mother, grandmother, and one of the kindest souls you’ll ever meet—was in town, her entire home burned to the ground. In a matter of minutes, everything she owned… every photo, every keepsake, every memory built over a lifetime… was gone.

What was once the warm, welcoming place we all called “Mimi’s House” is now nothing but ash.

Linney now has absolutely nothing—not a single belonging except the clothes she was wearing. She lives on a limited income and this tragedy has taken from her more than she could ever rebuild alone. She has no savings to fall back on, only the overwhelming reality that her life has been reduced to rubble overnight.

To lose your home is one thing.

To lose the place where your children grew up, where your grandbabies played, where holidays were celebrated, where love lived… is a pain that words can barely touch.

Today, Linney faces every person’s worst nightmare.

We are asking for help. Anything you can give will help her replace the most basic necessities: clothing, shoes, toiletries, medication, and a safe place to sleep while she figures out where to go from here.

Linney would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. But today, she is the one who needs us.
