I still remember the day 6 years ago when I picked up Link, he was just a tiny little potato sized puppy. I held him for the first time, and I knew he was going to be the most wonderful companion. He has been by my side every since and has brought so much joy into my life. His favorite thing to do is go to the beach to get the zoomies through the water, roll around in the sand, and repeat.
I didn't realize dogs could have so many facial expressions until Link. His smile is incredibly infectious. Every single day I take Link for a walk he seems to bring a smile to someone's face, especially children.
When I first received the news of his diagnoses I was absolutely devasted. I never cried so much or so hard in my life. I never thought something like this could happen to him, it still feels like a weird nightmare that I will wake up from someday. I'm not ready to accept a world where he is not with me in it.
I will do everything in my power to take away Link's pain and give him the longest time on this earth to run around on the beach in summer and play in snowbanks in winter, if you are able to help me in this task, I will be forever grateful.
Link and I are so lucky to have such supportive friends and family.
