Walk Through Temperature Scanners (Covid-19)

Link Associates is reaching out to our family, friends and neighbors to help us with our GoFundMe fundraising campaign. We are raising money for Walk Through Temperature Scanners and other Covid-19 related items and expenses Link has incurred due to the pandemic.
Being non-profit Link Associates’ operates on an extremely tight budget. The guidelines and regulations associated with non-profits do not allow Link to have money saved for emergencies and non-budgeted expenses.
If you are not familiar with Link Associates, we are a community based non-profit organization serving individuals since 1953 in Des Moines, Iowa and the surrounding suburbs in Polk County, Iowa. Link Associates offers a full range of services and supports including, Day Habilitation, Volunteer Incentive Program, Supported Employment, Transportation, Health Services, Leisure Services, Case Management and Representative Payee Services.
Link Associates provides services and supports to approximately 1000 individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities and in many cases physical disabilities. Services and supports are provided by more than 300 employees that assist Persons Served to live as independent life as possible and become integrated into the greater Des Moines community.

100% of funds raised will be used to purchase Walk Through Temperature Scanners. In the event we raise more money than our goal or do not meet our goal for the Walk-Through Temperature Scanners all funds raised will be used to purchase items that have caused a financial burden due to Covid-19 such as, Personal Protective Equipment (PPR), additional cleaning and disinfectant supplies, no touch thermometers, temporary employees to clean and temperature screeners to list just a few of the increased expenses.
