Close to our hearts this one… as a boy I see the organisers giving weeks of there time, blood, sweat and pain year in year out in preparation for this event to take place, all made possible by the Clarke family and there close friends and volunteers…. Every single one involved…. Has made some sort of sacrifice for no personal financial gain what so ever, holidays taken and surrendered from each of there jobs.. weekends leading up to it preparing and maintaining what ever it is that’s used for the event…… I could go on all morning…. All proceeds of this event go to the Lincs and Notts air ambulance service, that are permanently on standby to get in that sky and give there all, to come and protect us all, should anyone of us ever need them. So if you’ve nothing on this weekend, please pop by and show a bit of support, give it a share.. Thank you to you all and I hope the weather holds out for you all, I’ve seen the affect’s first hand over the years what the affects of the rain has had on you guys and the end fund raising result… I remember very little traffic coming through the gate one year due to the bad weather, and personally helping you guys pull people on and off the site on one of your vintage tractors and how disappointed you all were that very little was raised for our guardian angel up in the sky….the weather wasn’t on your side I see yesterday… but can see it’s brightening hopefully this weekend for you all. I know the organiser ‘Rex Clarke’, the oast few years, age and health has not been on his side, but that hasn’t stopped him. I take my hat off to you Rex for all the sacrifice you have done for the Air Ambulance over the years. I’ve seen that service land in front of me and save many of lives due to us all living at that junction and a close friend going init once at another location. Any way, I can’t make it there this weekend. But I’m going to put a donation in a go fund me page that we’re going to create to show appreciation for all the hard work you’s loverly people have done over the years and for anyone else that would wish to show there support and appreciation that can’t attend and ultimately supporting the Lincs and Notts air ambulance, I know the reward for you guys is the support and figures that’s on that cheque you have made via your personal sacrifice. Hope this is a good show for you this year Rex, as I know age and beauty isn’t on your side anymore. Any way sorry for any spelling mistakes ect in this post, as my managers on holiday and my reading and writing skills…..armt to clever…… sorting through peoples discarded rubbish is my skill… any way love to you all, Links in the bio as they say…. Well it will be shortly once I’ve worked out how to do it xx
