In May of 2025, Lindy was diagnosed with Stage 4 Appendiceal cancer (Goblet cell Adenocarcinoma). A very rare, aggressive and incurable form of cancer.
Since then she has completed 8 rounds of chemo therapy treatment that left her with Neuropathy. Unfortunately, the chemotherapy was not successful and the cancer continued to spread.
In January 2026, she had a Laparascopy to see if any of the cancer had shrunk or died. The Surgical Oncologist was hoping to perform a surgery that could extend her life by years. Unfortunately, he saw too much cancer during the Laparascopy to proceed, so the surgery had been taken off the table.
She met with her Medical Oncologist and a decision was made to restart chemotherapy, this time trying a different drug to hopefully slow the cancer. With the new chemotherapy treatment the medical average for prognosis is between 8 and 20 months.
The Surgical Oncologist encouraged her to write a bucket list and check off as many important things as she can. She is doing just that, but she needs help.
Her Bucket list includes seeing Mexico, walking the beaches of Tofino, seeing Nova Scotia and visiting family on the East Coast, taking a pottery class and owning a pair of Louboutin shoes (Black patent leather stiletto heal)
