April's Recovery
Donation protected
Special Education Teacher, April Lindt just started her maternity leave when she gave birth to her beautiful son, Gabriel with her husband, Emilio. Just two weeks after they brought their baby home, April had a seizure and was taken to the hospital. There they found a large brain tumor. Brain surgery was scheduled immediately, and April was not even able to kiss Gabriel before going into surgery. When she woke, she was without speech and she was partially paralyzed.
Two weeks later, April is now in a recovery and rehabilitation center an hour from home where she is expected to reside for the next several weeks. April has started to speak and is learning to walk again. Every day she has to 5 to 6 hours of rehabilitation including speech, physical, and occupational therapy. April’s road to recovery will be a long journey and we are not sure when she will be able to return to teaching. With a new baby and no possibility for April or Emilio to work, bills are piling up as diapers, formula, and gas for Emilio to see April are taking priority.
Emilio and April are two very humble people, their idea of splurging and a night of luxury involved Panda Express and watching Netflix. It was only upon the insistence of their friends and after a few tears that they agreed to have this page made.
Please support April, Emilio, and baby Gabriel, with the necessities and upcoming/noncovered medical bills/expenses. Our goal is to raise $20,000. Anything helps and if we can meet our goal, any extra can go towards keeping the Netflix membership and getting the Orange Chicken at Panda Express. And folks, let’s show our love by throwing in an extra dollar for an egg roll.
