Lindsey's Journey: Overcoming Cancer Together

Donation protected
For those of you who have the privilege of knowing Lindsey you know that she is an extraordinary woman. If you don’t know, Lindsey, here are a few things about her. She's a wife, and a loving mother to her two boys. She places God at the center of her life, seeking to honor him through her thoughts, words, and actions. She extends love and compassion to others, her willingness to serve is like no other. Her words and actions are truthful and reliable. She faces challenges head-on with her faith and resilience, all while trusting in God‘s guidance. She is cheerful, loving, and an unbelievably strong woman, and always puts her family and friends before herself. Lastly, Lindsey is one of the most selfless people that I have ever known. She took in two boys and adopted them. She has loved those boys from the time she laid eyes on them and they are her whole world.

Lindsey was experiencing pain in her neck and shoulder. She did what any of us would do. She went to the doctor and was given some steroid injections and a consultation with the chiropractor which led to a body massage with no relief from the pain. On Sunday, July 20th Lindsey was experiencing more pain that had spread to her right side. David and Lindsey went to the emergency room where the doctors thought that it was her gallbladder but upon further testing, it was something that Lindsey and David were not prepared for. Testing showed that she would need surgery to remove a tumor from her colon.

Lindsey underwent surgery on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, to remove the tumor from her colon. The surgeon went in laparoscopically and looked at the tumor and decided it was best not to remove the tumor due to the size and location. It has not spread any further in her colon as well as being located only at the base of her colon. However, some spots were found on her liver. Oncology came in and they were very positive and discussed treatment plan possibilities. There is a 10% chance that she will receive immunotherapy. If she is in the other 90% she will have chemotherapy. As of right now, Lindsey and David are waiting for pathology reports to come back to see what their next plan of treatment will be that best fits Lindsey's overall health.

So now is our time to give back to Lindsey and her family to try to make this as smooth as possible. As you can imagine, this will be hard on Lindsey's body, even though they are recommending that Lindsey go ahead as normal with her daily activities. Some days will be harder than expected, and she will not be able to work. Some of her medical expenses are not covered and with the everyday necessities of life, money will become tighter and tighter. Anything that you can donate will be greatly appreciated by this family. Everything that we can do to help support Lindsey through this process so that she can focus on beating this battle that she is facing.
