Lindsey's Brain Surgery Journey

Hi, my name is Megan and my cousin Lindsey was in a car accident many years ago where she almost lost her life. The doctors at Miami Valley Hospital removed part of her skull in hopes to help her brain while it swelled. It was a miracle that it did work. Unfortunately, the plate and piece of skull they used to cover the portion they took out, has now disintegrated. However, the screws have not. Leaving this portion of her skull weak and allowing the screws to move freely. She has dealt with debilitating pain for the last few months, which has forced her to quit her job. Her first craniotomy is today 2/28/24, and it will be first of many. Being out of work the last few months, being a single mother of two, and having to go through these extensive surgeries is and will be incredibly difficult for her and has already taken its toll. The goal of this gofundme is to take one of the big stressors off of her plate, allowing her more space to heal.
