Hello, please allow me to tell you some about the kindest person i know of, Lindsey Spohr.
The passion i see in her is amazing. She loves the community she lives in and gives back as much as she can. Lindsey has dedicated a large part of herself to helping the Fort Wayne Truck Works & Industry Museum and helping with the Harvester Homecoming shows. You will find her there in the legacy exhibit talking about all the generations of her family and what they did in that same building the museum is in.
She lost her father and uncle to heart disease before she was 30. She always says that when she talks about it keeps them alive in people’s hearts and minds.
Lindsey is an amazing person she always wants to give and has a hard time asking when she is in need.
This spring she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She received the news as she was traveling to Florida to help my parents move to Indiana. True to her nature she continued on and helped them without regards to herself. Even with that news she held her head up, only concerned about who she was helping.
She is taking chemo treatment now and yet that still does not stop her from helping others. She was at the museum again this year( she even scheduled her chemo treatments with the show in mind), talking about her family and listening to the stories other people tell her about them.
Lindsey is so amazingly strong and caring. While our insurance covers most of the medical bills the out of pocket expenses for medicines and supplements are numerous, along with her not able to work as many hours at her job due to the chemo treatments, she is being stressed over money and not focusing on her healing.
We hope to be done with chemo in about three months then she will need a couple surgeries to remove the left over cancer and a back surgery that was discovered to be needed when they took scans of her.
She has a long road ahead and is in high spirits to show this cancer who is boss. I ask for help so she can just focus on healing. Even if the only thing you can send is thoughts and prayers we need those as well.
Thank You
