Lindsey Millet after Anthony Weary’s passing
Donation protected
Hi my name is Carrie Burkhart and I’m a good friend of Lindsey’s. My daughter Sky was in Lindsey’s 3rd grade class and immediately they formed a close bond. It’s been since then that we got to know Lindsey and the amazing person she is. She always goes above and beyond to take care of those around her and to help in a way that others feel included and loved. I come to you today with hopes that I can now do the same thing for her.
A few weeks back Lindsey’s fiancé, Anthony Weary, had gone for what they both thought was going to be a routine knee surgery. It ended up being anything but routine. The surgery left AJ with many complications, including non stop bleeding and excruciating pain. The pain so severe he ended up in the Emergency room only to be admitted for a staph infection and several blood clots. After days in the hospital, a roller coaster of emotions, and Lindsey by his side, as things would get a little better they’d turn to eventually become so much worse. On the afternoon of September 30, 2022 AJ fell while walking along side Lindsey doing his PT. Doctors later found there to be a blood clot in AJ’s lungs and it was then that he was fighting for his life. Air lifted to Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Lindsey and family stayed with AJ throughout the week until he sadly passed away days later on October 5, 2022.
With Lindsey picking up the pieces and coming to terms with all that happened in such a short amount of time it’s now also reality Lindsey will be going to a single family income. Without being officially married she will not qualify for any future benefits. I ask now for any amount of donation so we as her friends and family can do our part in alleviating some of the financial stress.
Lindsey has asked you not to feel obligated, but anything is helpful, including prayer and patience as she figures out each day.
Thank you ❤️
