Hi everybody! My name is Sara and I have decided, after alot of anticipation, to set up this go-fund me page for my best friend, my no.1 supporter and my hero Lindsay Graham. Lindsay has a diagnosis of secondary breast cancer in her lungs. Lindsay was on a girl's holiday back in 2019 when she initially found a lump on her breast, she battled through it like a true warrior, not one complaint did she make, then she received more devastating news that the cancer had spread into her other breast. Lindsay then had to receive a mastectomy and go through more intense chemotherapy treatment . We celebrated Lindsay beating cancer and she was enjoying her life once more, worry free, looking fabulous & feeling as healthy as ever. However, despite feeling great, last year she had a suspicion that something wasn't quite right and pushed for further tests, hoping for the best & remaining as positive as ever. That is when she was told the devastating news that the cancer had now spread to her lungs  Lindsay is currently receiving immunotherapy (fortnightly) and chemotherapy (weekly) & she is battling it like a trooper! Up until this point all expenses have been covered by private health insurance thankfully but this is not unlimited, she is only 3 months into her treatment and has already spent 50% of her yearly allowance this time around! She has to go for a scan in June to see if the treatment is working and what the next steps are. It is possible that Lindsay might require help with funding costs for further vital treatment also but I will keep you updated. I was undecided on whether or not to make this page up but then I thought why not? Let me tell you a bit about my dear friend Lindsay hasn’t even hit her 40th birthday - I’ll not divulge how far away it is ;-) she has 3 precious kids at home, 13 and under, she is a devoted mother to them & raises them single handedly which I’m sure everyone agrees is a full time job in itself. Lindsay also works for the same job she has had since she left school, and is a well loved and respected employee of theirs as she is committed and loyal and she can achieve anything she sets her mind to. During the covid times ,Lindsay who was receiving chemotherapy and should have been isolating in her home, she was out in the streets delivering food parcels, hot meals to the elderly or the 'vulnerable' in her community. Lindsay loves her community and is very proud of where she comes from, she believes in our youth and wants them to believe in themselves also. She partakes in various community events , and thrives on helping others realise their full potential, helping the unemployed get onto training courses , patrolling streets at the weekends to ensure the teenagers are safe, she is involved in the Carrickfergus women's group, there is nothing that Lindsay wouldn't do to help another. She fills up with pride to see people thrive, and work toward their goals no matter what obstacles are in the way.  Lindsay is the most amazing, loyal, kindest, unselfish woman on this earth. She has a long, hard, journey ahead of her and I suppose I am just asking for support to keep up her fighting spirit , against this cruel battle she has to face. Financial worries should be the absolute last thing on her mind right now but like many others this is no longer the case. She has had to cancel a family holiday due to her treatments and I just hope we can raise some money so that Lindsay and her 3 beloved children can make the most amazing memories together and also for Lindsay to maybe get some respite for herself, as although she will never admit it, the treatment is exhausting, emotionally, physically and mentally. We do not know what lies ahead, but we are thankful for each day and pray for a lifetime more of them to come. There is nobody more deserving of receiving something back from the community that Lindsay loves so dearly. Thank you for reading. If you can leave any donation at all it would be more than appreciated. We are all in this together with you Linz praying your scan in June is successful, you deseve a break . I love you so much #lindsayswar #undefeated #warrior
